The objective of this study is to develop a new model for optimization of part programing by introducing an adaptive post processor in turning. Two main components of the cutting force occuring during the turning operation have been measured by using BOXFORD CNC lathe and other equipments. A computer program written in PASCAL language has been prepared for simulation and optimization. In the optimization part of the program developed, optimum cutting conditions have been determined and consequently the generation of part program has been achieved automatically.
