In this paper we study the value of words of some subaltern subjects – aborigine women – in a set of judicial court records which took place in the Córdoba of Tucumán Jurisdiction since its foundation (year 1573) to 1620. We understand that this large corpus allows us to explore the different voices that coexist in the documents. Among them, we stress a voice that seems to occupy a peripheral place: female witnesses and a unique confession of an aborigine who is accused of attempting to kill her mistress. The analysis is based on a discursive approach, taking into account the historical and juridical context of the period. We assume that in all cases female voices exist as strategic interventions in situations where the mobility and encounter of subjectivities are construed on the basis of the conflict and social tension.
