Special studies of ground beetle fauna are conducted in Zakatala Reserve for the first time. Ground beetles play a significant role in various ecosystems and have high species diversity, it’s possible to use ground beetles in zoological diagnosis of soils as indicators of soil and vegetation conditions and zoological objects monitoring .
