The approach of conflict resolution related to conservation has been developed by the International Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD) and experienced by Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) within protected areas by Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). This approach has been used by the WCS to establish a multi-actor consortium around the National Park of the Virungas (PNVi), and to enhance free dialogue between stakeholders closed to fisheries on Lake Edouard ; with valuable results ending to co-management involving national park agency, then Congolese institution for the Conservation of the Nature (ICCN). The experience was carried out on the National Park of Kahuzi-Biega, and helped to revitalize the Community-based Conservation committee (CCC) of Bugobe, to improve the collaboration between different social groups of Bugobe and to restore the dialogue between the actors and isolated social groups implied in illegal uses of national park resources. This approach permits to re-establish the dialogue between different intervening parties (population, state-controlled structures, civil society and religious confessions) and it reinforces the capacities of the local partners while developing the structures organized to the basis capable to influence the conflicts based on the natural resources.
