In Ukraine there is a powerful public demand for national memory policy because, in the context of the Russo -Ukrainian war, the awareness of the Ukrainian civil identity has intensified. Therefore, revising the system of public administration in the field of national memory is relevant, given the compliance with European standards for the formation and implementation of European collective memory. In view of this, this article is aimed at researching the central executive authorities that ensure the formation and implementation of the state policy on national memory in Ukraine. The achievement of this goal is carried out by determining the subjects of the state policy on national memory in Ukraine, analysing their functional duties, structural and organisational characteristics, regulatory support, as well as relationships and interaction during the formation and implementation of the policy on national memory. It is established that Ukraine has an extensive multi -level system of public administration in the field of national memory, which is made up of state authorities and local self -government, as well as various institutions of civil society. Finally, an effective state policy on national memory is possible only if a strategy and clear mechanisms for its implementation by state institutions are developed with the obligatory involvement of the public.
