Qualitative Sprünge in der Qualitätssicherung? Potenziale digitaler Open-Peer-Review-Formate

Abstract

Open Access is still met with mixed reactions and hesitation from scholars in the humanities. In particular, a lack of quality assurance is often assumed. But quite the opposite is true, at least when the idea of openness is thoroughly applied to quality assurance processes and procedures. By opening up and digitising the peer review process, significant improvements in the quality of works in the humanities become possible. It also becomes clear how the concept of academic work is changing through the movements inside traditional publication practices.
