Binder jetting is a promoted 3D printing technology with the advantages of low equipment cost, high manufacturing speed.Technical principle and procedure were firstly introduced, and the parameter, advantage and application of present commercial binder jetting system were summarized. The types of binder used in the printing process were listed. The interaction (sputtering, diffusion and permeation) between binder types and powder bed was analysed.In addition, the influence of printing parameters on the performance and accuracy of the printed part was also discussed, including powder properties (powder flowability, powder size distribution and mean size), printing parameters (layer thickness, binder saturation, print speed, droplet spacing and line spacing, drying time), post-treatment process (curing, burnout, sintering, infiltration). Binder jetting technology is an important development direction of additive manufacturing. There will be broad research and application prospects in the development of corresponding materials, binder design and post-treatment technology.
