Abstract

It is very common to use the computer and through the use of this instrument, the Internet has become a medium that allows entertain, learn and communicate with the rest of the world. Linking the project with the community called "Social networking in old age", executed in the State University of Milagro, Guayas Province, Ecuador, is led by the elderly using computer technology as a means of communication and distraction. The project, which was based on the methodology of support and peer learning, arose from the need to equip it with the tools required to communicate, enhance friendly ties with relatives and friends, promote products made by them and publicize the activities associations to which they belong. It helped to improve their quality of life in emotional, to facilitate real- time interaction with friends and family, that you could get, through photographs, videos, chats, etc.more of their lives.
