The structure and content of the teacher trainee portfolio The use of portfolio in future foreign language teachers education programmes has been examined. The expediency of the teacher trainee portfolio as a means of forming professionally-oriented competencies and the teacher trainees’ performance evaluation has been substantiated. The structure and content of the teacher trainee portfolio have been outlined. The assessment criteria of the teacher trainee portfolio have been offered. The consecution of the stages of implementing the European Portfolio for Student Teachers of Languages has been determined.
