OMUL POLITIC TURC AHMET DAVUTOĞLU – DE LA GRAȚIERE LA CONTESTARE
Abstract
The change of political color in 2002 in the Republic of Turkey, namely the victory of Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the parliamentary elections and the political context created later, drove Ahmet Davutoğlu into the political life of the Turkish state. Ahmet Davutoğlu's conservative views brought him closer to the AKP leader - Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the political rise of which is directly related to that of Erdoğan.The political segment in which Ahmet Davutoğlu acted was the foreign policy, the concepts set forth in his book "Strategic depth" being the basis of the foreign policy strategy "zero problems with the neighbors", applied by the Turkish state in 2002-2015. The worsening of the political situation in the Middle East, and of the Russian-Turkish relations during 2014-2015 had a negative impact on his career, but also a strong media resonance.
