International Undergraduate: a transcultural learning experience in the redefinition of teacher training in visual arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul

The article discusses the International Undergraduate in the Visual Arts Project which composes the International Undergraduate Program of Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, PLI of UFRGS/CAPES/2011. This project has 07 students in the double undergraduate in Portugal. The text focuses on the qualification of teacher training in Visual Arts for basic education in the Brazilian context in dialogue with international contexts. In this project the curriculum architecture of the course is extended in a field expanded with extracurricular activities. These extracurricular activities constitute dialogues between education and culture to enable the student to the continuing education evidencing an education articulated to research and to extension. The double undergraduate is focused in an expanded curriculum with a cross-cultural learning experience and constitutes a pedagogical proposal of undergraduate at redefining the scope corresponding to the pedagogic project of teacher training courses in different areas of knowledge.
