IN OTTOMAN FIELD POETRY TRADITION WITH CHAGATAI TURKISH AND ONE OF THE KÂMÎ’S ODE
Abstract
An analogy of classical Turkish literature formed between the thirteenth and the nineteenth centuries in the Ottoman realm has been formed in the geography of Turkistan and Chagatai Turkish. Especially in the 15th Century, this literature which gave unique and concise examples with Ali Şir Nevayi produced important representatives such as Mevlana Lutfi, Sekkâkî, Gedâyî, Babür Şah, Ebu'l-Gâzi Bahadır Khan. With the influence of scientists, artists and poets from Turkistan geography, a tradition of writing poetry with Çağatai Turkish between our classical poets has been formed. Fuzulî, Nedim, Sheikh Gâlib, and many other classical poets, especially Çağatai Turkish. This tradition developed mostly with the influence of Ali Şir Nevayî, and even among the Ottoman poets it began to be called "Nevayî Tili". This cadet was well-known to the tradition of the 17th century poet Kami, and a poem of Chagatai was uttered. Moreover, Kamî is the only poet who tells Chagatai poetry in the style of kaside. Examples from poems such as ghazel, rubai, muhammes, tahmis, historical verse, kıt'a, mülemma are spoken by different poets. This poem of Kami does not consist of thirty couplets and couplets, which are widely seen. Because of the difficulty of singing in Chagatai, Kami's shoalis consist of thirteen companions. However, poetry consists of epigraphs, mediahy, prayer sections in accordance with the classical form of poetry in the ode.
