The wooden ceiling of the main chapel of Santiago church in Baza
Abstract
The church of Santiago in Baza, one of the finest examples of Mudejar style, was built after the earthquake of 1531, in the thirties and forties of sixteenth century. It was extended in the seventeenth century with the construction of a nave and some chapels in the epistle side. From all these spaces it stands out the exceptional wooden ceiling of the main chapel, one of the most important examples in the province of Granada.
