There exists the problem of high energy consumption in operation of air conditioning equipment in data center. To maintain efficient and energy-saving operation of air conditioning equipment in data center, the optimal operating air volume ratio of indirect evaporative cooling equipment in data center was found through simulation test of prototype in enthalpy difference laboratory. The optimal secondary/primary air volume ratio was studied, and it is found that when operating under the same outdoor operating conditions, the optimal air volume ratio of wet mode is smaller than that of dry mode. When the secondary air flow remains unchanged, the wet mode makes the primary air reach a lower temperature; that is, if a certain temperature point is to be reached, the secondary air volume required in wet conditions is smaller; when the unit is operating in a dry area, the optimal air volume ratios of dry mode and wet mode are 2.1 and 1.9, respectively, and the corresponding evaporative cooling efficiencies are 69.78% and 73.5%, respectively. Under the optimal air volume ratio, the corresponding temperature drops can reach 19.16 ℃ and 18.15 ℃, respectively. Under the working conditions in the humid area, the optimal air volume ratio of the wet mode is 2, and the corresponding evaporation efficiency and supply air temperature are 56.76% and 22.67 ℃, respectively.
