The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in the concentrations of diene conjugates and malondialdehyde in the blood and liver of different aged rats under the conditions of dyslipoproteinemia and skeletal muscle injury. Male white outbred rats, 120 young rats aged and 120 old rats. The first subgroup of each group consisted of intact animals. In the second subgroup (2o and 2y), both old and young animals underwent mechanical dissection of the calf muscle in the middle third region. The first two subgroups received standard chow and free access to water and food. Animals in the third (3o and 3y) and fourth (4o and 4y) subgroups of each groups were subjected to the dyslipoproteinemia formation model for 63 days. After the specified time had elapsed, the animals of the fourth group in both subgroups suffered an injury to the calf muscle located in the middle third of the. Mechanical trauma to the calf muscle associated with dyslipoproteinemia is characterised by intense oxidative stress and leads to an increase in the concentration of MDA and DC in liver tissue and blood of rats, and these processes are more intense in old animals than in young ones.
