THE ORIGIN OF AGRICULTURAL EXTENTION IN WESTERN UKRAINE: HISTOROGRAPHY 1899-1944
Abstract
In the article, on the example of the unique socio-agronomic activity of the company "Farmer", the issues of the historical development of the theory and practice of social agronomy, the spread of agricultural knowledge in the territory of Galicia were studied. On the basis of the study of scientific works, essays, memoirs of scientists, active members of the society, an analysis of the development of the company "Farmer", founded in 1899, in the 30 years of the XX century, was carried out. The role of the society in disseminating agricultural knowledge and development of the positions of the theory of social agronomy, in the practical training of the peasantry of Galicia in relation to its own and free development are highlighted.
