The article aims to showthe results obtained from a research carried out within a discipline of the Pedagogy course at UNIR, which had the intention of identifying records of the teaching of History and Culture of Indigenous Peoples in the Political Pedagogical Projects (PPP) as directed by Law 11.645/2008. The study was conducted in three private and public educational institutions in the cityof Ouro Preto do Oeste, Rondônia. Qualitative, documentary research (BOGDAN; BIKLEN, 1994) with theoretical basisin Brazil (1997, 2008, 2015); Neves (2013); Bergamaschi and Gomes (2012); Veiga (2002), among others. The results pointed out that, although the documents work according to the Law, there are still gaps regarding the inclusion of studies about the Historyand Culture of Indigenous Peoples. It is important to deepen this when composing the curriculum of the respective institutions, above all, considering the process of implementation of the Law, ensuring a contextualized study of the theme.
