For a good level of energy efficiency in buildings, it is essential to correlate the city climate with the architectural guidelines according to building location. This work aims to evaluate the energy efficiency of Block 3P and Amphitheater of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), campus located in Palmas, applying labelling by PROCEL EDIFICA method and seeking solutions that improve the energy performance of the building. The analysis was carried out based on the Technical Regulation of Quality Efficiency Level in Commercial Buildings, Public Services and Standard of Brazilian Zoning, which use the temperature, radiation, humidity and air flow as variables directly related to the thermal comfort. The building analysis was performed by prescriptive method and computer simulation. The buildings were classified according to their efficiency, then they receive a classification from rank A (more efficient) to rank E (less efficient), based on the evaluation of the air conditioning systems, lighting systems and the envelopment. As results, both the analyzed buildings receive rank A by the computer simulation and rank B by the prescriptive method and then we presented some attitudes and projective changes which could improve the overall energy efficiency of the institution.
