Area Identification for Sewage Treatment Plant Installation Using Maps Algebra
Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of identifying areas for the Sewage Treatment Plants plant (WWTP) using maps algebra. Considering the high cost of the GIsS for a company, gvSIG version 2.2 was used. The study area was the city of Coronel Sapucaia / MS. Some of the criteria that are taken into account by decision makers paragraph leasing this type of venture were represented in issue cards allowing your spatial visualization, enabling an operation math, using the maps as parameters in the form of equations to assist in decision making. The product obtained was an aptitude letter to WWTP installation for Municipality. With free software WRPLOT View was elaborated, in addition a pre-selection, a prevailing rose winds of the study area. In place among regions as more suitable given the letter elaborately fitness, selected to property with paragraph necessary area house a treatment plant with a lower acquisition cost. The technique developed in this work facilitated the initial mapping paragraph pre-selection propitious areas the Resort, featuring in a useful tool and low cost paragraph aid to decision making
