A new record of the Malay Cardamom Amomum aculeatum Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) for mainland India

Abstract

Amomum aculeatum Roxb. (Zingiberaceae), earlier known from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, is reported from Kodagu in Karnataka, for the first time from the mainland of India. A detailed description of the species with relevant information and distribution are provided.
