Abstract : The criticism field, in both Arabic and Western contexts, knew a multitude of concepts that were widely used by contemporaneous researchers in the field, such as the concept of poststructuralist criticism, which emerged after a set of ideological and epistemological mutations in the contemporaneous criticism methods. The main factors may be the ruptures in the structuralism itself and the insisting call to reread the ethnocentric western mind. As the mind is no longer sanctified, this mutation allows the reader to open up to endless viewpoints. Within this framework, this research attempts to examine the process of critical thought mutations and their implications. Keywords: criticism; structuralism, openness, plurality, poststructuralism
