A new series of 1,2,3-Triazole bearing Indole derivatives (6a–j, 8a & 9a) was developed and examined for their preliminary anticancer effects against five human cancer cell lines such as breast cancer cell line (MCF-7), human lung cancer cell line (A549), human colon cancer cell line (Colo-205), human prostate cancer cell line (DU-145) and human breast cancer cell line (MDA MB-231). The well-known chemotherapeutic agent as etoposide used as a positive control. Among synthesized compounds, six compounds (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, 6f and 8a) were possessed more potent anticancer activities than standard drug.
