Houve diferença significativa (pThe objective of this paper was to evaluate the additive on elephant grass silage. The experiment was conducted in the randomized design. The treatments were: T1 (elephant grass), T2 (elephant grass + 7% citric pulp), T3 (elephant grass + 7% scrape of potato), T4 (elephant grass + 7% corn disintegrated with straw and sabug- CDSS), T5 (elephant grass + 7% bran of wheat), T6 (elephant grass + biological additive). The treatments with additive (T1; T3 ; T4 and T5) shown larger dry matter values differing statistically of the treatments T6 and T1. For the pH there was no differences statistics among the treatments varying of 3.87 (T1) to 4.04 (T3). There were significant differences for loss of gases being larger in the treatments T2 and T5 .The others treatments shown no statistictics differences. The loss for effluents was higher in the treatments T6. The crude protein in the treatment T5 presented higher content and the treatment T1 was it of lower values. The treatments T1 and T6 showed higher values of NDF. The treatments T4 and T3 shown lower values of NDF. The values of ADF the treatments T1 and T6 shown higher values of ADF and the treatments T3 and T4 presented lower values. The values of IVDDM varying of 56,04% (T1) to 71,13% (T3). The elephant grass silage with additive and/or with biological addictive used in this experiment shown improvement in the quality of the silage.
