Especies de Chrysopidae (Insecta: Neuroptera) asociados al cultivo de maíz amarillo duro en el departamento de Lambayeque

Chrysopids (Insecta: Neuroptera) are biological controllers in economically important crops, species present in the department of Lambayeque are unknown. The objective was to determine the species of chrysopids in maize areas of the department of Lambayeque, allowing a correct Integrated Management of Pests in hard yellow corn for the North Coast of Peru. Chrysopid adults were collected on five hectares of hard yellow corn from the districts of Jayanca, Pítipo and Lagunas; by direct sampling and light attractant. 558 adult chrysopids were collected in 18 samples. The species identified in were: Chrysoperla externa Hagen, C. carnea Stephens, C. assoralis Banks, Ceraeochrysa cincta Schneider, Ceraeochrysa cubana Hagen, Ceraeochrysa valida Banks, Ceraeochrysa sp., Leucochrysa sp. and Plesiochrysa paessleri Navas. The dominant species were Chrysoperla externa and Ceraeochrysa cincta with a relative abundance of 31.91% and 26.6% respectively, values that exceed S (inverse of wealth) of 14.28% during the direct collection of daytime hours, at nighttime Chrysoperla carnea also presents dominance. Ceraeochrysa cincta is the species with the greatest presence in the three districts, it is considered dominant, for exceeding 1/S in all the samples taken.
