Abstract: Clay was the most utilised material by humans in a variety of fields including architecture, ornamentation, pottery manufacture, and even the treatment of certain diseases. Clay's ubiquity in nature, as well as its ease of use, led man to discover its numerous uses. This study is concerned with investigating the various aspects of the use of clay in the daily life of man in Algerian Sahara, specifically in the region of Gourara, where different civilizations emerged as evidence of the possibility of harmony between man and nature, and that man is the son of his surroundings. Keywords: Clay Culture, Gourara, Civilisation, Architecture, Algerian Sahara
