Clinical Observation on Xingnao Kaiqiao Acupuncture Combined with Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for Post-stroke Speech Dysfunction
Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on post-stroke speech dysfunction. Methods:A total of 48 patients with post-stroke speech dysfunction were randomly assigned to the observation group and control group with 24 patients in each group. Both groups received routine medical treatment, the observation group was added with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture while the control group only carried repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation once a day, six times a week for four weeks. The Aphasia Battery in Chinese (ABC) method and the Boston diagnostic aphasia examination (BDAE) were used to assess aphasia degree and clinical curative effect. Results:The ABC and BDAE scores of two groups after treatment were significantly improved compared with those before treatment (P<0.05, P<0.01). After the treatment, the BDAE score of observation group was better than that of control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation has good effects on post-stroke speech dysfunction.
