Background: Knowing factors affecting the creation and development of faculty members' job performance is very useful for educational, research and therapeutic activities. This study aims to investigate the organizational and psychological factors affecting the development and improvement of faculty members' job performance. Methods: The present study is an applied research in terms of purpose and in terms of gathering information and data is correlation. The statistical community consisted of Shiraz Medical Sciences University faculty members, among which 185 were selected by simple random sampling. Data gathering tool was a questionnaire in this study. Data were analyzed using Lisrel 8.8 software. Results: The results of the hypothesis test showed that job enthusiasm, job involvement, education, and managers' support and development have a direct and significant impact on faculty members' job performance. Accordingly, Job enthusiasm with a coefficient of 0.32 had the greatest effect on job performance; however, job involvement with the coefficient of 0.18 had the least effect. Conclusion: Considering the confirmation of all hypotheses in this study, the conceptual model of the research is an appropriate model for creating and developing faculty members' job performance. Based on these findings, the managers of the medical sciences university can make appropriate decisions in order to improvement faculty member's job performance.
