Teaching is characterized as a profession susceptible to changes over time, especially with regard to pedagogical theories and practices. In this sense, it is of paramount importance that teachers always seek to update themselves in order to improve their teaching methodologies and thus make the learning of their students more meaningful. Therefore, the present work consists of an experience report written from the perspective of an intern of the Biological Sciences Course, in the undergraduate modality, of the Federal University of Piauí in which it is intended to highlight the contribution of field observations held in two public schools during the discipline of Supervised Curricular Internship and the importance of this discipline for the formation and construction of a profile of performance of future teachers.
