The Holy Qur'an emphasizes a lot on telling stories and telling the story of prophets and nations of the past. It is necessary to make use of this capacity, especially in the compilation and analysis of historical events, including the uprising of Imam Hossein (Peace be upon him). Mullah Hossein Kashfi is one of the few people who used many verses when describing the events of Imam Hossein's uprising and in this regard, he tried to analyze and investigate the uprising of Ashura very skillfully and with a very special delicacy, while citing verses from the Quran. Perhaps it can be claimed that among the authors of Muqtal, no one has turned to Muqtal writing like Kashifi - who is a Sunni scholar - and in some cases, when adapting and expressing the revelation of the verses, he has chosen a point of view that is in accordance with the view of Shias. This article deals with the quality and method of Kashfi in investigating and analyzing the events of Ashura by referring to the verses and seeks to answer why and how Kashfi refers to the verses. In the light of the investigation, it was concluded that the choice of the type of verses and the analysis and research that Kashfi did about the verses, in a way, reflects Kashfi's inner thoughts and beliefs about the legitimacy of the caliphate of the three caliphs, illegitimacy and sarcasm and attack on the Umayyad rule and the need to respect and honor the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them and Kashifi's purpose of attaching verses to historical reports is to interpret, explain and confirm or criticize a report.
