This work has as objectives to present: (i) the paleontological collection of the Laboratory of Ecology and Geosciences (LEG/UFBA); (ii) in addition to the use of the QR Code in the aid of the cataloging of the pieces of the collection. The collection currently has 1,560 fossil specimens belonging to 139 taxa, from the Araripe and Sergipe-Alagoas sedimentary basins, Quaternary fossils, as well as replicas representing fossils from various parts of the world. The collection is still small, but has a good representation of local, regional, and world fossils (considering the replicas), and has contributed with the courses Evolutionary History of Life and Paleoecology offered in the undergraduate course in Biological Sciences of UFBA/IMS/CAT.
