It is emerged to use the materials optimum and efficiently due to shortage of material arising from increasing demands and developed and improved technology. Because of this, it is necessity to understand throughly and analyze the internal structure and mechanical behaviour of cement which one of the most important component of concrete. Water, carbon dioxide, oxygen, sulfate, acid and chloride infiltrate into concrete and caused various types of chemical reactions. Therefore, the concrete has exposed to some chemical and physical factors caused durability problems within the concrete. In this study, CEM I 42.5 R, CEM II/A-P 42.5 R, CEM IV/A-P 32.5 R and SDC 42.5 R types of cements were used and two types of concrete (C20/25 and C30/37) were produced and the concretes were exposed to two various hazardous chemical environments. Compressive strength test was performed on the specimens at 28 d and 180 d. However, it was aimed to determine optimum cement type of concrete exposed to various chemical hazardous environments at Ambarli Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant.
