REARRANGEMENT OF THE MARRIAGE PROGRAMMES IN THE CONTEXT OF TWITTER’S AGENDA SETTING
Abstract
With the introduction of mass media in our lives, numerous researches that it influences the individual shave begun to take place in the literatüre. The critism that the media has a unilateral influence and that individuals are exposed to this influence has begun to change direction with the social media. The social media defined as salvation for some people, as the only way for democracy for others, even as there surrection of media has introduced a completely different way of agenda setting in to the literature this time. This is the way social media determines the agenda of social media. There searches for agenda setting has started to investigate this topic and the debates that social media has set the agenda for traditional means of communication have gained speed. In this study, the influence of Twitter, which is accepted as a channel for news, on the media agenda was investigated in the context of the example of “Banning of Marriage Programmes”. As a result of the study, it was determined that Twitter sets the agenda of the traditional media on the axis of the example of Marriage Programmes.
