El motivo del petróleo en la novela venezolana

After an arduous bibliographical research, this article is a balanceof the novels published in Venezuela that have petroleum motive, a monumental theme, recurrent, with a strong social constitution, relevance and certain autonomy as object of study. The petroleum: semiotized object and constructed, it is a composing aspect of the culture and the speech of the venezuelans. Mene, which for some has given rise to the perverse thesis, has been identified as the cause of our past, present and future ills, responsible for all our misfortunes as a people, destroyer of an innocent and pure society, permissive element of 126Cambios y Permanencias, ISSN 2027-5528, Vol. 8 No. 2, julio-diciembre de 2017, pp. 124-179corruptions, depravations, immoralities and desires. For others, hydrocarbons got us into modernity, we owe much to it. It gave us a twentieth century of peace and progress, also linked us with a modern culture, with high technology. Black goldthat, thanks to the intervention of our writers, fully acquires its spiritual dimension and becomes an expression of the decorum and the dignity of a writing that goes deep into the venezuelan landscape, the feeling of the nation, the expression of a town, in literary motif.In the literary and artistic work of the venezuelan writers, oil and its equipment acquires a particular character that the general enunciators endow with a personal and particular symbology. Indeed,these writers take over the towers, the rockers, the barrels and the millenary pitch, construct a narrative that transcends the limits of the particular object and tries to express and show the social, economic, political and cultural changes that have arisen in Venezuela at the root of its implantation as primordial economic system, denoting it as a literary motifimpregnated with symbolsand meanings. The venezuelan petronarratives constitute a particular and distinctive version that show the diverse dimensions of the modern history of the country.
