Objective: identify potentialities and weaknesses in the health care network for access to treatment (surgical, chemotherapy and / or radiotherapy) of mastectomized women Method: exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach with ten mastectomized women. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews, analyzed according to content analysis. Results: the lack of qualified professionals to meet this demand and information about the disease were cited as problems. As potentialities, women referred to the offer of free treatment by the Unified Health System and the follow-up performed by the multi-professional team. Conclusion: professional care and breast reconstruction stood out as potentialities in cancer treatment, while the lack of information and qualified professionals were weaknesses, and the multi-professional team and managers recognize the needs of this public for qualification of care.
