Segunda residência e a construção dos vínculos afetivos e territoriais no Polo Costa das Dunas / RN / Brasil

Abstract

The article aims to outline a profile of second home users in Polo Costa das Dunas and analyze the relationship they establish with the place that regularly visit for leisure purposes.We used quantitative methodology, with random samples using the technique of questionnaires applied in municipalities located in the Costa das Dunas Pole/RN/Brasil. It was found that the place where one finds the second residence represents for user‑owner a place for “summer”, “leisure and recreation”, “tranquility” and “family reunion”. The creation of emotional and territorial bonds are established from a set of meanings constructed from the use of this type of property, as to allow the family reunion in an integrated manner and unlinked to the daily obligations; as well as providing new forms of sociability, and affective relationships with the temporary neighbors. It is concluded that the relationships built from the use of the secondary residence is composed by several social and symbolic representations, which allow a different and particular relationship of the subject with the place visited.
