Compared with other crops, peanut planting costs are lower, and it is very drought-tolerant, and can obtain better benefits. In this paper, 16 peanut varieties were selected, and drought resistance tests were carried out at the flowering and cutting stage under water stress conditions. The root characteristics related to drought resistance of peanuts and the physiological mechanism of drought resistance of different varieties were studied to screen peanut varieties with better drought resistance. According to the relative value (RV) of each trait, the drought resistance coefficient (DC) and drought resistance are calculated. The results show that A596, NC6, Shanhua11 and shanhua7 have strong drought resistance, Shanhua12, Nongda 818, Shanhua 8, Huayu 20, Haihua 1, 79266, Shanhua 9, Hua 17 have moderate drought resistance, while Jihua 4, Guihua 836 , ICG6848 and Baisha1016 have weaker drought resistance.
