TURKISH OTTOMAN LEGACY IN MODERN AMERICAN HISTORIOGRAPHY

Abstract

The article presents the main approaches developed within US scientific and political community concerning the most challenging issues of the Ottoman history reflected in the policies of modern Turkey, and still having impact on the role and place of Turkish Republic in the system of international relations in general.
