Del orden tradicional a la modernización: personajes delincuentes en la novela argentina de la organización nacional
Abstract
The article analyses a group of unregistered novels in Argentine literature histories from the 19th century, which dealt with crime issues. A critical reading about these histories will try to delineate through the traits on which criminals are outlined, a specific moment in the cultural discourse: that from the so-called National Organization Process. This process is defined by historiography as a phase in which Argentina experiences a transformation process that implies the evolution from a traditional to a modern society, due to the politics implemented by the National State. This synchronic perspective is complemented with the purpose of contributing to the trace of the changes over time, recovering to a characterization of criminals previous to landmarks such as the magazine Revista Criminal (1873), or the implementation of the sensational press.
