Prof. N. Subbu Reddiar is a renowned person. He is a prolific writer, critic, researcher and professor who have written more than a hundred books. He was well-versed in Tamil literary genres like Sangam literature, Epic literature, Devotional literature, Minor literature and Contemporary literature. He is the author of “Kalingathu Bharani Research” and “Bharani Pozhivugal of Bharani literature” which comes under Minor literature. Literature travels to the next stage only when it captures the scenes it sees, the ideas it reads, and the messages it hears in a way that appeals to the reader. That is what Valluvar says in the chapter of "Sol Vanmai". Etymology is how language helps man to interpret what he perceives by his senses through the instrument of language. Language helps a lot to explain narration. A reader can visualize the pattern of Kali Temple, characters exhibiting expressions in the body, Omens, literary metaphors, the beauty of the autumn season, characterizations, overstatements, and personifications by the imaginative resources in “Kalingathup Bharani” through the books “Kalingathup Bharani Research” and “Bharani Pozhivugal” written by Subbu Reddiar. Hence, this article examines the technique used by Professor in detail to visualize Bharani using literary metaphors such as Uvamai, Oneban Suvai, Porulanigal, Yamagam, Madakku, Sileddai, Vellani Naal, Anjal alithal, Paavaadai poduthal, Velam, Paarvaikkarar, Nokkar, Thuruthiyaalar, Panjasayanam.
