THE ROLE OF THE CIVIL ENGINEER IVAN NOSOVICH IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING IN SIBERIA IN THE LATE 19TH– FIRST THIRD OF THE 20TH CENTURY

Abstract

The article reconstructs the biography of the civil engineer I.F.Nosovich, whose professional activity unfolded in the Altai District at the end of the 19th – early 20th century. This study gives an insight, for the first time ever, into the techniques and methods characteristic of the architect's creativity, enables the creative heritage of this specialist to be viewed from a new perspective and restores the significance of the specialist in the development of architecture and urban planning in the region.
