ETIOLOGY AND ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE PROFILE IN DIABETIC FOOT INFECTIONS
Abstract
Introduction: the infected diabetic foot (PDI) is one that presents infection of skin and soft or bony parts below the malleolus; It is the most frequent complication of diabetes that causes hospitalization and amputation. In our hospital, patients with diabetic foot are assisted in a multidisciplinary consulting room; 40% have mild or moderate severe infection. Objectives: to describe the etiological microorganisms (MO) of the PDI and its antimicrobial resistance profile.
