Films collaboratifs, ethnofiction et vérité socio-anthropologique à l’ère de l’humanitarisme sexuel
Abstract
To get their rights recognised and avoid deportation migrants working in the sex industry often need to represent their experiences according to humanitarian canons of victimisation expressing the values and priorities of the global North and acting as borders excluding them from asylum and social mobility through migration. As a result their perspectives, priorities and realities tend to be ignored in public debates and policies, which translates in harmful policies exacerbating their vulnerability. This presents the adoption of collaborative forms of ethnographic filmmaking (ethnofictions) as an ethical and effective way to noth understand and represent the workings and impact of the negotiation of (sexual) humanitarian borders through the experiences of the people directly involved.
