The tango was more used at floriculture as arrangements filling, and the study of postharvest plant is essential to prolong the life. The aim of this study was to inflorescences of post-harvest conservation Solidagocanadensis, reated with different concentrations of saccharose and citric acid in a maintenance solution. Treatments consisted of a control with distilled water three concentrations (2.0; 4.0 e 6.0 g L-1) of saccharose and three concentrations (0; 0.5; 1.0 e 1.5 g L-1) of citric acid. The stems were placed in containers and stored at 22 ± 2 ° C for 12 days. The results were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the effect of the treatments, when significant, by Test F. The means were compared by Tukey test (p≤0.05). When differences between treatments were greater than the sum of the standard deviation, the result was considered significant. The use of saccharose maintenance solution provides better results when compared to the use of citric acid, because it the addition of this sugar in the solution contributed in reducing the loss of water thus leaving the more turgid stems, less chlorophyll degradation and consequently staining the stems and to maintain the flowers closed for longer while preserving the decorative life for up to 12 days of storage.
