Migration in contemporary security environment

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explore in which cases migration can justifiably be considered as a security problem, then which implications in term of low, policies and procedures labeling of migration as a security threat has. In that way, we analyze how the Balkans and European countries deal with migration as a security issue. A special focus is on researching the connection between migration, organized crime and terrorism.
