Exil, immigration, de l’oubli à la mémoire
Abstract
The reflection on memory and forgetting is at the heart of the migration issue. In this study we analyse the plays of Juana Escabias and Némer Salamún, two playwrights who are very committed to the drama of migration. This work proposes to question the modalities of emergence of memories (individual, family and collective) as a source of both a construction and a deconstruction of identity, sometimes traumatic. The theatrical form then takes on a hybrid form in order to better render the identity splintering to which the characters are subjected.
