Abstract
By preventing machine failures in industrial systems, avoiding interruptions that may occur in production is possible with an effective maintenance management. Effective maintenance management includes the activities of managing preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance sites. With the latest developments facilitated by sensor and computer technologies, predictive maintenance studies have gained importance for businesses. Empowered with the help of data-driven machine learning algorithms, predictive maintenance sytems are developed as a part of new manufacturing sytems. This study is a review of the literature on predictive maintenance based on machine learning algorithms. The studies are analyzed within the scope of employed machine learning algorithms and related industry/equipment where the studies are carried out. There are very few work in the literature that compile and analyze studies using machine learning algorithms in predictive maintenance, so this study will guide researchers who will work on the relevant subject.
