Alter Ego : analyse de la réception d’une gamification artistique sur le Web
Abstract
I propose, here in, to analyze Alter Ego, an artistic alternated reality game, from the online gamers’point of view. I’ll first present Blast Theory’s work which inspired Alter Ego, and then present the keys of virtual and fictional immersion. Based on an emotional inquiry, interviews, observations, analysis of short messages, I will try to confirm that the artistic dimension of this game consists first on the arousal of contemplation, secondly in a relational adventure. In addition, relying on Simondon’s concepts, I’ll try to explain how the technical object and the player are linked together as a whole.
