Abstract
By presenting the opportunities, limits and issues related to the scientific analysis of the sociotechnical device that is streaming, this article intends to show to what extent and under what conditions it is possible to observe and analyzes streams as sources of knowledge. To do this, it takes the example of a survey on videogame practice made on the Twitch.tv platform, while remaining attentive to the ethical and epistemological issues of the investigation in such a digital space.
