The fields of journalism and literature influence each other and have given rise to hybrid forms such as narrative journalism. The authors define narrative journalism as the use in journalism of rhetorical and literary devices, such as can be found in literary descriptions, but allowing for nuancing and even expanding the expressive possibilities of journalism, and particularly reporting. Here, the authors examine four Latin American websites dedicated to online narrative journalism from various sources: digital magazines (with or without print editions), specialized publishers, ebook collections, and organizations that promote and defend narrative journalism.
