LOZA BLANCA O MAYÓLICA DE AGUASCALIENTES, MÉXICO
Abstract
Aguascalientes was a town that was founded in the sixteenth century as part of the expansionist project spanish in northern New Spain. Linked to the development of the mining centers and to the life of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro delay two centuries to become one of the most important cities in Mexico. In the nineteenth century became famous their production of polychrome majolica whose designs and features are described in the present work. The ceramic sample originates in two contexts, the Jardín de los Palacios and Casa Terán.
